President Elbegdorj met with the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs



President Elbegdorj held a meeting with William Hague the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom on July 30, informed the Presidential Office. Mr. William Hague congratulated Mongolian athletes who have won the first medal from London 2012, Olympic Games and wished them more achievements.

“We are pleased to see the successful policies and actions implemented by the President and the Government of Mongolia, on strengthening the democracy, protecting human rights, improving legal environment and stimulating economic growth. Mongolia is attracting more investors as its economy is growing more intense. Especially, expanding the cooperation in mining industry, education, technology, and agriculture sphere and increase investment is the most important mission” said William Hague.
President Elbegdorj expressed his appreciation to Great Britain for the support and assistance towards Mongolia, during the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between States. He noted that the two countries mutual beneficial partnership is expanding more intense over the last years and emphasized that the creating new opportunities in trade and economy, and partnership in education, science, and defense sectors in new level gives great impetus to our bilateral relations.




Jeremy Brown the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs was present at the meeting.
