STATE HEAD MEETS MS. CLINTON
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj received on Monday Ms. Hillary R. Clinton, the US Secretary of State who is here with an official visit.
The State Head hoped that this visit will significantly contribute to intensifying of the Mongolia-USA relations and cooperation and will strengthen the democracy. He also noted that this visit is coincided with the 25th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations, and that the ties and cooperation have been developing in all fields since then.
Mongolia aims to strengthen the democracy and to establish the justice by ensuring human rights and freedom, and in this, an intensive economic growth gives many opportunities, he said.
Investments from the Third neighbors, especially from the USA, have been increasing to the sectors of mining, technology, infrastructure and education, besides, Mongolia wants to equally distribute benefits of mineral resources to people, he added.
“We are fighting against corruption and are reforming the court in order to establish the justice. I am confident that Mongolia will gain achievements in strengthening democracy, overcoming any challenges or problems because our country is open and its people have freedom,” the President said.
In turn, Ms. Clinton expressed satisfaction with visiting Mongolia again, and she is glad that Mongolia is a good example of democracy in its region. "Mongolia is successfully making steps towards ensuring human rights and freedom, implementing laws and to ensuring the transparency," she noted.
The dignitaries underlined an importance of women's role in ensuring the democracy and transparency and in establishing the justice, and highly spoken the international forum on women's leadership.
