Agencies Disbanded



The newly appointed Prime Minister of Mongolia, N.Altankhuyag, resolved to address the lack of service of state officials and have state offices staffed with skillful personnel. He further promised to reduce the 43 state agencies. During the irregular meeting of the Parliament on Monday, the above mentioned issues were brought into the discussion and some state agencies were disbanded and transferred to the related Ministries. Accordingly, the Parliament is to have altogether 28 agencies, of which 11 will be regulatory and 17 will be implementing agencies.


The disbanded agencies are the: National Development and Innovation Committee, Information, Communications Technology and Post Authority, National Authority for Children, State and Governmental Service Agency, Academy of Management, Diplomatic Service Agency, Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade Agency, Forestry Authority, Water Authority, Culture And Arts Committee, Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Railway Authority, Road and Transportation Authority, Road Department, Administration of Land Affairs, Construction, Geodesy and Cartography, Labour and Welfare Service Agency, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, Energy Authority, Physical Education and Sports Authority and Health Authority.
