SPEAKER MEETS AMBASSADOR OF TURKEY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Former Speaker of parliament D.Demberel has underlined that the Ambassador of Turkey significantly contributed to developing of the Mongolia-Turkey relations, especially the inter-parliamentary ties, within his diplomatic mission.
He said it during meeting on Friday with Mr. Ahmet Asym Arar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Mongolia. The latter will return home soon having completed the dipmission here.
D.Demberel mentioned that he had talked with his Turkish Speaker about the parliamentary ties, and expressed satisfaction with an intensive development of the relations in economic and cultural spheres, for instance, the Turkish schools work successfully in Mongolia. The Turkish Airlines have begun making direct flights to Mongolia, "so I do hope that it will make inter-citizen ties closer," he said.
In turn, Mr. Arar expressed a gratitude to the Speaker for the audience, and then talked about widening of the inter-parliamentary relations in the last four years. For instance, 12-13 Turkish MPs visited Mongolia to sign several documents, he added. Mr. Arar pointed out that the bilateral relations have intensified in many fields during his mission in Mongolia, and that legal basis of cooperation has been made in some sectors. "In determining its new policy in external relations in 2011, Mongolia selected Turkey as one of the six countries it would develop the most active cooperation with, and we are to be as such," Mr. Arar stressed.
The Ambassador thanked Mr. Demberel for a help given during these four years.
