Legendary TV comedian Roy Walker for Foxford men's fundraiser
There will be a fundraising night in Foxford n Wednesday June 27th to raise funds for a local team who are travelling to Mongolia to the people of that country improve their access to education and healthcare services. Foxford taxi driver, Liam Phillips and his son, William, of Callow, and their teammates, Charley Wright and Scott Salopek, of the United States, will betravelling to Mongolia onboard a school bus!

This fearless team will undertake this amazing 16,000 kilometre journey on behalf of Go Help, a U.K. registered charity that is committed with local communities in central Asia, to improve their access to education and healthcare services.
Legendary comedian, Roy Walker of the hit show “Catchphrase” is live at the Mayfly tomorrow night, Wednesday the 27th June at 9 p.m.
The fundraising for the Rally will take place over the last week in June, just before they set off on the rally itself.
On Wednesday the 27th, there will be a live comedy gig in The Mayfly Hotel in Foxford with the comedy genius Roy Walker best known as the presenter of the popular ITV show, Catchphrase and.
Roy will do a one hour show, followed by a meet and greet and photo opportunity. Doors open at 9pm. This intimate exclusive gig is a real coup for the charity and gives people the wonderful opportunity of being entertained by a legend.
Tickets are €20 available from the local hotel, The Mayfly, and can be purchased by calling 094 9256518.
The second evening of fundraising is a social night with live music by Stumbling Bloc and The Young Ones in The Mayfly Hotel. This will be a fantastic night of fun and great music for young and old and will ensure the boys get a great send off.
Your support will be deeply appreciated and in return you will be guaranteed a wonderful night entertainment on wednesday 27th and Friday 29th of June.

Dedicated volunteers
Some of the core objectives of the charity include access to primary healthcare through the provision, distribution and maintenance of emergency vehicles, fostering of local talent, through the provision of scholarships and employment opportunities for literacy and self development, and to facilitate the placement of skilled health and education volunteers with the aim of enhancing the capacity of local communities.
Go Help operates charity rallies, an event platform which fundraises for charitable projects in Mongolia, including the Mongolia Charity Rally, using vehicles of their choice.
The group, is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and professionals, and operate a local office in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia which manages and implements their projects. The journey, which will take the team across two continents, seventeen countries, including the border of Russia and Georgia, via Abkhazia.
By no means a holiday, and by no means safe, the trip will involve crossing the Alps, the Caucasus, the Urals, and the Gobi Desert.
