New ambassadors approved by Standing Committee
The Standing Committee on Security and Foreign Policy discussed the appointment and resignation of ambassadors on Monday.
After a meeting between the Government and President Ts.Elbegdorj on Monday, Chief of the President’s Office D.Battulga announced the new ambassador candidates:
R.Bold has been nominated to serve as the next ambassador from Mongolia to Australia; D.Enkhbat to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; B.Odonjil to the Arab Republic of Egypt; Sh.Odonbaatar to the Republic of Italy; A.Ganbaatar to the Republic of Poland; M.Ganbold to the Democratic People"s Republic of Korea; Ch.Battomor to the Kingdom of Thailand; and T.Gandi to the Republic of Hungary.
The standing committee approved the appointment of Ch.Battomor to the Kingdom of Thailand; T.Gandi to the Republic of Hungary; Sh.Odonbaatar to the Republic of Italy; B.Odonjil to the Arab Republic of Egypt; and D.Enkhbat to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The standing committee also accepted resignations from the following ambassadors: Ts.Jambaldorj (Austria), L.Dashpurev (Thailand), O.Dambiinyam (Poland), O.Erdenechimeg (Hungary), D.Bayarkhuu (Egypt), P.Sundev (Vietnam), and B.Khurelbaatar (North Korea).
The appointment of the new ambassadors is to be discussed by Parliament on Tuesday.
