CWP allies with another party
Civil Will Party (CWP) Chairman S.Oyun, Deputy Chairman E.Zorigt, Secretary General G.Gankhuu, and the head of the NGO Justice for Citizens, Kh.Bat-Yalalt, held a press conference in the Government House on Thursday.
Justice for Citizens has established a new political party called Party for Human, but the State Supreme Court (SSC) has not officially registered it. Meanwhile, the CWP and the Green Party (GP) agreed to merge to form a new party, but the SSC hasn’t registered that new party yet, either.
At the press conference, the officials said the SSC is refusing to recognize any third parties. So the CWP and the Party for Human have decided to join forces. Their goals, they say, are to eliminate political influence from the judicial system and create a society where citizens can get justice in the courts and from legislative bodies.
S.Oyun said the CWP will hold its assembly in January 2012 to discuss the appointment of new managing officials.
