MPP considers naming new secretary general
The MPP managing council met behind closed doors in the Government House on Thursday to discuss naming a new party secretary general.
Current MPP Secretary General U.Khurelsukh has been nominated to fill the vacant post of first deputy prime minister. That is why members of the managing council decided to urgently discuss the nomination of a new secretary general, because the 2012 parliamentary election is coming and the secretary general is responsible for the party’s paperwork.
One source says Secretary Ya.Sodbaatar or MP S.Bayar could be nominated to fill the vacancy. S.Bayar stated that he would not run in the 2012 election and would instead work for the party to win the election. It is also possible that the MPP will hold a conference to discuss the secretary general issue.
