Ferocious Fury, Ferrari's FF.

For nearly 70 years now Ferrari has been Italy's flagship auto car maker. Producing some of the most beautiful and talked about cars in the world( and controversial). With blistering performance from its we'll built engines, and good look designs from Pinaferina(its design company) it has produced cars that are anything but ordinary, and the new FF is no exception.

Let's start by getting all the numbers out the way. The FF uses a V12 Marrenello is famous for and it is a 6,3 liter that punches out and extreme 485 KW and a planet running 683 N.m of torque which is more than the 599 GTO! And with 80 of that power at 1750 r/min means it will rocket to 100 Km/h in just 3.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 335 km/h. It even reaches 200 km/h as fast as a 599 GTB.

Despite Ferrari's talent to make double take looks they have taken it to the max with the FF. Designed as a GT estate it looks like a hatch back mated with a 458, But some how it works and works well. With 40 mm longer wheel base than the 612 it has more space inside than a Bentley GT an comfortable fits 4 grown men, with space for luggage! With its dampers and electronically advanced suspension it rides as comfortable as a Bentley.

The true great thing about the FF is the amazing four wheel drive system. It is a brand new patented design from Maranello that is unlike anything on this planet. The rear axle works independently as a normal rear Ferrari diff, however the front is a complete different story. Most of the time it is an ordinary rear wheel drive until the road gets tough and the front is needed. The Ferrari has complete different gear box mounted to the front diff that has 3 gears one for reverse and 2 for forward and two clutches one for each wheel that continually slips. All this has made it the best four wheel drive (and easiest to drive) in the world.

After all this techno wizardry Ferrari has built a superb GT that can comfortably drive from your holiday home in Monaco ("which we all have"). All the way across the border to Ferrari's "casa", Maranello and lay some hot laps on the Fiorano track, then drive home and sleep happy!

Great car!
