Cars of ze decade [so Top Gear announced the car of the decade 00-09, I decided why stop there?]

2000-2009: Bugatti Veyron
1990-1999: McLaren F1
1980-1989: Ferrari F40
1970-1979: Lamborghini Countach
1960-1969: Lamborghini Muira
1950-1959: Mercedes-Benz 300SL
1940-1949: Jaguar XK-120
1930-1939: Ford Model B
1920-1929: Bentley Speed 6
1910-1919: Ford Model T

1900-1910: Mercedes 35HP

1885-1889: Benz Patent Motor Wagen

[coincidentally, except for the model t, these were all the fastest cars of their period]

Why is he important? If it wasn't for him 5th Gear would be the stuff we'd be lolzing at and Top Gear would be a relic. The silent genius behind the revival of Top Gear, the birth of the stig and the guy who sets up 'em cheap car challenges.....maybe, jus maybe I'm giving him a bit too much props but meh i rates him.
