Nagra launches turnkey pay-TV platform in Mongolia
Nagra, the digital TV division of the Kudelski Group, has launched a turnkey pay-TV platform for pay-TV service providers. The platform includes components such as Nagra MediaAccess content protection, OpenTV middleware and Nagra Gravity nX2 user interface, all pre-integrated in a set-top box provided by SmarDTV. A PVR-ready device, it features a built-in USB port allowing operators to upgrade users to PVR functionality. The platform will make its debut in Asia with two service providers in Mongolia. Cable operator Sansar HD and satellite provider DDishTV will launch the fully pre-integrated service this month giving subscribers access to entertainment and interactive services. The Nagra turnkey platform will be demonstrated at Ibc 2013.
