Belarus offers broad collaboration to Mongolia



The Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament Z.Enkhbold received Belarusian business and government representatives led by Belarusian Prime Minister Miasnikovich on Wednesday September 4th.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, L.Bold, MP S.Odontuya, S.Byambatsogt, Ts.Tsolmon and government officials represented Mongolia at the meeting attended by the Head of the Office of Council of Ministers of Belarus, the Minister of Agriculture and Food, other government officials and business representatives.

At the beginning of the meeting Prime Minister Miasnikovich expressed his pleasure to the Speaker of Mongolian Parliament and conveyed Belarusian Parliament Speaker`s greetings. Prime Minister Miasnikovich commented that this is the first high rank visit by Belarus to Mongolia.

Belarusian Prime Minister Miasnikovich stated that there is a good background to boost relations and collaborations in fields of trade-economy and education not only in Parliamentary level relations. He also said that Belarus is not rich in natural resources but the country is ready to share their experience in world standard mining facilities, industrial equipment, road and construction products and to cooperate for mutual benefits.

Prime Minister Miasnikovich also offered collaboration in supply of agricultural machinery, economically effective electric equipment, buses, electronic and oil field cooperation. He made the suggestion of a student training program with expenses cheaper than US and Europe, to produce qualified Mongolian personnel for mining, road and construction.

The Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament expressed his special thanks to Prime Minister Miasnikovich and the Belarusian delegates for visiting Mongolia and the offers for cooperation.

Speaker Z.Enkhbold said that “Since 1990 many Belarusian companies have offered cooperation with Mongolia. Mongolians, particularly those in agriculture, know well the Belarusian tractor. Erdenet Mining Corporation uses mostly Belarusian mining facilities.

The Speaker also expressed that there is an opportunity to cooperate in training qualified Mongolian personnel and assembling public bus machinery in Mongolia.

During the Belarusian Prime Minister`s visit there was a business meeting of Mongolian and Belarusian businessmen and entrepreneurs at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an Exhibition by Belarusian companies and entities.
