Presidential Financial Report released
The financial report on the June 2013 Presidential Election has been released to the public by the General Election Committee. In accordance with Presidential Law the parties must audit and submit their financial reports on their incoming and outgoing finances.
According to the report the Democratic Party (DP) spent 6.632 billion MNT, the Mongolian People’s Party (MPP) spent 5.068 billion MNT and the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP) spent 815 million MNT on election related activities.
Presidential candidates were eligible to receive donations from citizens and legal bodies. DP received 6.632 billion MNT from supporters, citizens and organizations. MPP received 3.23 billion MNT from supporters and organizations where as MPRP received 795 million MNT.
The report revealed that the DP campaign and election funds were all covered by donations; however MPP spent 1.838 million MNT and MPRP 20 million MNT from Party funds.
