Mongolians Win Bronze Medals At IMO
ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- The Mongolian pupils won three bronze medals in the 53rd International Mathematical Olympic (IMO) held recently in Santa Marta city, Colombia.
Mongolia was represented there by six children at the event on July 18-28. By the team results, Mongolian national team secured 42nd place, Mongolian news agency, Montsame, reported.
This year's Olympiad attracted 579 children from 97 countries. The Chinese team was the overall winner with five gold and one silver medals and 208 points. It was followed by the Republic of Korea (five gold and one silver medals with 204 points) and the United States of America (four gold and two silver medals with 190 points).
