BOOK ON HISTORY OF MONGOLIA-BRITAIN RELATIONS PUBLISHED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ First volume of a book on documentary history of the Mongolia-United Kingdom relations has been published.

The "Trans-Continental Neighbours" named book's presentation took place Monday in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in frames of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mongolia-UK diplomatic relations.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs G.Tsogtsaikhan and the UK Ambassador to Mongolia Mr Christopher C. Stuart gave speeches at the ceremony.

The book was co-written by researchers and scientists of the Institute of International Studies and the Institute of Historical Sciences at Mongolia's Academy of Sciences, the Research Center of Mongolia and Southern Asia at the University of Cambridge. The second volume of the book will be released soon, the scholars said.

The book tells about history of the Mongolia-Britain relations in the last 100 years, and is provided with historical photos and archive materials.

In March this year, the book was published in 500 copies in the UK.
