NEWERA RESOURCES CONFIRMS HIGH VALUE COAL AT SHANAGAN

Proactive Investors reported that newera resources has returned positive assay results confirming presence of high quality black coal at its Shanagan East coal project in Mongolia.

This reaffirmation has enabled it to secure a drilling contract to conduct a further 500 meters diamond core drilling program.

With the new drilling contract newera will be able to fast track the results of the washability test before the approaching winter makes drilling unconducive to exploration at the site.

The latest results are a fourth batch of tests from the first phase of drilling program at the Shanagan project, with the new sample results broadly similar to the previous holes sampled and analysed and which demonstrate low moisture, high ash, low sulphur and high gross calorific numbers at about 7500 to 8000 DAF.

These results for coal intercepts at the northern end of the 6.5 kilometer strike have provided further evidence that the high quality characteristics are consistent throughout the identified coal seams.

The extended drilling program is for 500 meters of diamond core drilling with 450 meter allocated to HQ size drill core and 50 meter for PQ drilling core. The PQ size core drilling will be used to undertake washability tests.

A second phase drilling program is now planned to commence on the 1st December 2012 and is expected to be completed by 24th December 2012.

The Shanagan Project comprises one exploration license covering an area of over 2200 hectares in a known coal bearing region 140 kilometers southeast of Ulaanbaatar Mongolia.

The project is located close to existing infrastructure with a rail line only 50 kilometer away. That line services the nearby Baganuur lignite coal mine and connects to the trans Siberian railway which services China in the South to Russia in the North.
