Mongolia holds int'l exhibition to promote mining, construction sectors
ULAN BATOR, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- An international machinery exhibition related to mining and construction sectors opened here Wednesday, drawing more than 200 companies from 24 countries.
Mongolian Construction and Urban Development Minister Ts. Bayarsaikhan launched the event, saying Mongolia is experiencing a big construction period.
Bayarsaikhan said the government is currently making efforts to push forward 100,000 housing projects, some big mining projects and railway and road construction.
Bayarsaikhan said the development of building and construction sectors would involve new technologies, equipment and techniques, and he hopes the exhibition would be a wonderful platform for the beginning of cooperation between participants and Mongolian organizations and companies.
Ling Yutian, from China's Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group Corporation, told Xinhua that the company attaches great importance to the Mongolian market.
The company hoped to use the exhibition to expand its market share in Mongolia and strengthen its cooperation with Mongolian partners, Ling said.
Latest machines and cutting-edge techniques related to the mining and construction sectors are showcased in the exhibition.
Meetings will also be organized between Mongolian customers and international exhibitors to provide opportunities for cooperation.
