OLYMPIC ATHLETES TO WEAR UNIFORMS DESIGNED BY SHILMEL ZAGVAR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Mongolian athletes will wear uniforms designed by B.Tsogtgerel, a designer at the Shilmel zagvar company.

The color of the uniform is mix of golden yellow and green, and it symbolizes Olympic gold medal. The athletes' uniforms have badges of the Olympic Rings on upper front part of right shoulder, and the script "Mongolia" is embroidered with golden thread under the badge.

"Our athletes will wear their uniforms with scarves having a unique design with red-blue-red stripes and Mongolian traditional ornament. In the previous Olympic ceremonies, Mongolians athletes did not wear scarves," B.Tsogtgerel said.

The Boater hat's design has been chosen to design hats for the Mongolian athletes. Designs for shoes and belt also have been made by the "Shilmel zagvar" company.
