2013 BMW 7-Series

With stiff competition from Mercedes Benz S-Class and Audi’s A8 flagship, the BMW 7-Series has been relegated to the shadows and been hiding under the cover of darkness up till now. With the launch of the new model BMW is coming back with a vengeance.

The 7-Series like always is a luxury ocean liner for the road, featuring furniture and comfort only seen in your house, or at the massage parlour, or even in a five star hotel, all put into one place on top of four wheels. In order to underline its leadership, the 7 has a new LED HEADLIGHT face, sporting elegance, upgraded interior with improved comfort and state of the art technology in safety and even more goodies then before. However the biggest changes are underneath the body.

BMW 730i: 3L straight-six turbo, 258hp/190kw 310NM. 8.6L/100km or 33mpg.

BMW 750i: 4.4L V8 Twinturbo, 450hp/330kw 650Nm. 0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds. 8.6 L/100km or 33 mpg.

BMW 750d: 3L Triturbo (3 turbo chargers) 381hp/280kw 740Nm. 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds. 6.4L/100km or 44 mpg.

BMW 760i: 6.0L V12 Twinturbo, 544hp/400kw 750Nm. 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds. Top speed electronically limited to 250km/h and fuel consumption of 12.8 L/100km or 22 mpg.

All engines have been mated to the eight-speed automatic gearbox to help reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Optimised self levelling air suspension system has been fitted to give a comfy ride, with double wish bones and optional all-wheel-drive for xDrive models for the 750i, 740d and 730d.

The 7-Series has undergone many changes to once again take the fight to its fellow countryman.
