GEC: EIGHT PARTIES WANT TO RUN ELECTION SO FAR
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The General Election Committee (GEC) reported that by one pm on Tuesday eight political parties and two coalitions have officially announced that they will run in the parliamentary election and handed over necessary documents to the GEC.
In accordance with the law, a political party or coalition must submit to the GEC several documents, including a decision of a responsible organization, a notary certified copy of the State Supreme Court on the registration of parties that adjoined a party or coalition, also a verified election action plan, a decision of the state audit organization on the budget requirement compliance of the action plan, a monitored and verified report of the last year by an audit organization on the donation made to parties or coalition by citizens and legal subjects, and names, composition, addresses and telephones of the party of coalition.
The GEC will make decision within five days whether to register the party or coalition after having inspected the documents sent.
