Officials discuss infrastructure cooperation
On Thursday, Road, Transportation and Urban Development Minister Ts.Dashdorj received Prince Michael of Kent and Lithuanian businessmen headed by Lithuania’s Deputy Foreign Minister Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene.
The officials briefly discussed current development of road, transportation, building and urban development sector of Mongolia, further policies, projects and programs. Foreign officials stated their interests to cooperate and to research cooperation possibilities.
Prince Michael of Kent requested support to direct flight from Ulaanbaatar to London. Besides, foreign officials suggested dissemination of European technology to the sector.
Asta Skaisgiryte Liauskiene, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania, noted that Mongolia could cooperate with Lithuania in transportation to Europe through Lithuanian ports. Also intermodal terminals would be built in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipeda and officials agreed to form a cooperation memorandum in further.
