CABINET APPROVES INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A cabinet meeting held on Wednesday approved a governmental resolution on approving a Mongolia-Russia intergovernmental agreement on allowing citizen of one country to temporarily work in other country. This agreement was signed on February 17, 2012 in Moscow, Russia.
By the year 2009, some 46,000 Mongolian citizens have passed the border of the Russian Federation, and 77 per cent of them were registered in a related service of Russia. Furthermore, Russia is the second largest country in Mongolia to account for foreign employees and workers, and most of the Russian workers in Mongolia are employed in the mining and educational sectors, according to statistics.
By end of 2011, over 1,000 Russian citizens have been qualified to work in Mongolia.
