Amino Technologies Plc : Amino backs Huntingdon “League of Mentalmen” bid to deliver ambulance to Mongolia

Amino Communications has become the latest local company to back an ambitious bid by three Huntingdon men to drive an ambulance 10,000 miles from the UK to Mongolia.

This week the company handed over a £300 cheque to support the epic drive to the capital Ulaanbaatar where the ambulance will be handed over to local people. Known as the "League of Mentalmen" the three adventurers - Ed and Tom Harrison and Karn Richmond - will set off in July to travel across almost a third of the world's surface, including two deserts, 11 countries and 14 time zones. As well as raising funds for the trip they hope to make donations to a Mongolian charity called the Lotus Children's Centre and the UK-based Teenage Cancer Trust.

Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: "This is a fantastic project to deliver a much-needed vehicle to local people and we're delighted to provide our support. We're a global company - with customers in Mongolia - so I'm sure they'll be surprised to see a vehicle with our logo on their doorstep."

Ed Harrison added: "We're very grateful to Amino for coming on board as one of our corporate sponsors and joining local companies who are helping make this ambitious project a reality."

The team continue to fund raise via their websitewww.mongolmentalmen.com and will use social media to keep everyone informed of their progress.
