The Terrain is powered by either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 182-hp, or a 3.0-liter V6 engine with 264-hp. Both all-aluminum engines include direct injection and are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that helps to maximize efficiency. Buyers can choose between either a front-wheel or all-wheel drive system, depending on which meets their needs. Standard safety features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes with electronic stability and traction control, six airbags, OnStar, tire pressure monitoring and a security system. Available technology features include a rear parking system, power liftgate, remote vehicle start and seven-inch touch screen navigation with 40-gigabyte hard drive
