PRESIDENT RECEIVES AMBASSADOR OF FRANCE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj received on Tuesday Mr. Jean-Paul Dumont, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Mongolia, in conjunction with completion of diplomatic mission.




Mentioning about his over two-year work in Mongolia, Mr. Dumont underlined France appreciated the President's proposals and initiatives and that he was satisfied with strengthening of the democracy in Mongolia. "I will retire soon, so intend to work for propagandizing Mongolia after my office," Mr. Dumont said.


The State Head said he was glad that the Mongolia-France relations had a big achievement during the office of Mr. Dumont. Ts.Elbegdorj emphasized that France is one of the important partners of Mongolia in Europe, adding,"A letter from France's President Nicolas Sarkozy states that Mongolia is a special partner of France in Asia and I consider it is an expression of the bilateral ties level."


Ts.Elbegdorj pointed out that Mongolia wants to establish a Magistrate university maintaining the French standards with an aim to prepare high qualified people at the judicial authority. "I thank You and the French Embassy for contributing to launching of the cooperation between Mongolia's Prosecutorial Office and the Magistrate University of France," Ts.Elbegdorj stressed.


Saying that France supported Mongolia's democracy, the President noted that the French national center restored the "Tsogt Taij" Mongolian film, made in 1940s. He spoke about an intergovernmental agreement in the mineral and nuclear energy spheres and then expressed a satisfaction with the intensive collaboration in a reform of judicial authority. Ts.Elbegdorj expressed hope that Mr. Dumont will continue his significant contribution to strengthening of the bilateral relations and wished him all the best.
