Mongolia importing more cars from China
According to an Inner Mongolian newspaper, Mongolia imported 4,013 motor vehicles worth USD 136 million through the Ereen border point in the first three quarters of this year. That’s a 216 percent increase over the same period in 2010.
The newspaper attributes the rise to four factors: increased mining in the region; China’s support for auto exports; Mongolia’s rising agricultural sector; and increasing production of cheap cars in China.
