Premier greets Mongolians abroad

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold has greeted in behalf of the Government all the Mongolians who are living, working or studying abroad on occasion of the New year.

The Premier has said that some Mongolians are working abroad successfully as higher officials in several famous organizations and companies such as the United Nations (UN), the UNESCO, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft and the UK's College of London.



Then he has said Mongolia concluded its achievements gained in the last 20 years and has determined plans for 20 years to come. Mentioning the economics of Mongolia was stabilized in 2010, he said the government started delivering benefits from the mineral resources through the Human Development Program. "Population of Mongolia grew by 65,000 people in 2010. We have managed to gather a bumper harvest," the Premier emphasized. He added that Mongolia will build new constructions, railways, industrial complexes and apartment districts. "We plan to introduce European standards and Canadian technologies in spheres possible," he has said, and then mentioned about many champions in sports and arts.



"Our country has experienced many difficulties, challenges and mistakes. Affected by the financial and economic crisis, many sectors such as banking, infrastructure and construction are continuing their renovation. The government is worried by a 8.6 percent level of unemployment and 35.2 percent level of poverty," he underlined.



He has pointed out that the government always wants the Mongolians abroad to forward the development of their country when they return home. "We are always together in heart with those Mongolians who have become other countries' citizens and who raise a prestige of Mongolia," he added.



Mentioning that it is possible for the government to address every Mongolian abroad, the Premier has stated that the government set up a council of collaboration with these Mongolians with aims to have a unified data of all the Mongolians, create legal and economic environment for them to work home, accelerate the information exchange, and develop the partnership between the state and private sector, and between the state and civil society.



The Premier has said the government created a fund for citizens abroad based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and added the first forum of Mongolians abroad was organized this year in Mongolia. "It is the Government's responsibility to realize initiatives and proposals made at the forum," the Premier has underlined.

He has mentioned about the "Beehive" program which aims to attract Mongolians who have gained professions and experiences abroad for the country's great construction and to solve their social matters. "I am sure the government should provide the Mongolians abroad with opportunities to work home in times when Mongolia's development era is approaching," the Premier has stressed.
