Caterham to celebrate 60th anniversary at Donington Park this weekend

                                                                                                                                                       
The legendary Caterham sports car will celebrate its 60th anniversary at a special event at Donington Park this weekend (8-9 July).

The Caterham 60th Anniversary Festival will feature two days of intense racing on the Donington Park Grand Prix circuit with 19 races scheduled, 14 of which will feature Caterhams, renowned for awesome slipstreaming action!

Hundreds of cars from this iconic British manufacturer are expected to be in action, with a star name in the form of Olympic cyclist Sir Chris Hoy set to compete twice across the weekend.

Seven different Caterham series are competing, ranging from the Academy Championship for newcomers, right up to the most powerful Seven 420R series while continental racers will compete in the French Caterham Cup. Other categories in action include the Roadsport, Seven 270R, Supersport and the Seven 310R championship, in which Hoy will be racing.

As well as a stunning mixture of Caterham racing, there are five further races for Formula Ford single seaters, a series renowned for producing F1 stars such as Ayrton Senna and Jenson Button.

The paddock areas of the venue will be open all weekend, allowing spectators easy access to the cars and drivers as they prepare to go racing.
