MSA Academy co-driver Phil Hall will contest ADAC Rallye Stemweder Berg alongside rising talent Fred Field.
Successful Nottingham rally co-driver Phil Hall will head into mainland Europe for the first time since Tour de Corse as he contests a round of the Opel Adam Cup alongside Briton Fred Field next weekend.
After several outings in Australia and New Zealand, Hall will contest the ADAC Rallye Stemweder Berg in Germany which forms round four of the ultra-competitive single make championship.
Hall, 28 from Mansfield will be reunited with Field after contesting their local event, the Dukeries rally at the end of last season which resulted in a third in class at the Donington Race Circuit event. Since then, Field has been contesting the Adam Cup in Germany and Hall has been recruited for the Eckendorfer based rally.
Hall has been dubbed as one of the most progressive co-drivers in the UK at present and has competed across the world in recent years. However, his outings in Europe this season have been limited due to his Asia Pacific programme and the itsmymotorsport.co.uk backed co-driver is pleased to be back in Europe.
“It’s great to be reunited with Fred after our Dukeries success but of course this is a much bigger challenge than a single venue at a race circuit” said Hall. “The Opel Adam Cup is probably one of the most highly regarded and competitive single make formulas in the world right now and the pace is intense out front. It would be great to see what we can do in the series and see how we fair against the locals. It won’t be easy that’s for sure”.
Hall is also excited to be competing in Germany again.
“I’ve contested Rallye Deutschland before as part of the Drive DMACK championship last season so I know the character of the stages can be really tricky. But it will be great to be part of the Cup and of course build a relationship with Fred for the future so I`m really looking forward to the weekend ahead”.
The two-day event takes place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th June, offering over 136km of competitive driving contained within 15 stages. |
