Fantastic field for DMACK Carlisle Stages

A superb field of 115 cars will contest the 2016 DMACK Carlisle Stages (Saturday 11 June), with an entry that is big on both quality and quantity.
The rally is a round of the Ravenol BTRDA Rally Series, the MSA English Rally Championship, the BTRDA Rally Challenge, the S G Petch Association of North East and Cumbria Car Clubs Stage Rally Championship, the Motoscope Northern Historic Rally Championship and the Association of Northern Car Clubs Forest Challenge. In addition, the organisers are delighted to have drawn a strong entry of Scottish crews keen to tackle these famous stages, which have not been used for rallying since the 2015 Carlisle Stages.
The route will feature just eight miles of double-used stages in a five-stage rally, with two stages of more than 13 miles. Great news for spectators, is that there is excellent viewing on four of the five stages and no charges whatsoever for spectator access.
Spectator information is now available on the event website as follows:

Heading the field away are current BTRDA Gold Star pacesetters Luke Francis (Mitsubishi Evo 9) and Charlie Payne (Ford Fiesta), but they are followed by an amazing array of quick cars and drivers including nearly a dozen R5 and WRC cars. Notable among them are BRC contenders Jonathan Greer (Citroen DS3 R5) and Desi Henry (Skoda Fabia R5) as well as Euan Thorburn (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) and Matt Edwards in a DMACK-supported Ford Fiesta R5+.
Heading the two-wheel drive entry is Matthew Robinson in the stunning Fiat 131, while top seed among the 1400cc contenders is Mat Smith in his Proton Satria.
