Inner Mongolia Commemorates Revolutionary Martyrs on Qingming Festival
In conjunction with Qingming Festival (Tomb Sweeping Day), Uxin Banner Women's Federation in Inner Mongolia, and the local bureau of education, held a recitation contest to cherish the memory of revolutionary martyrs in the Second Experimental Primary School, on April 3, 2014.
Pupils in the Second Experimental Primary School expressed their admiration for the martyrs through their revolutionary odes.
At the contest, feelings of love for the motherland and modern life stimulated both teachers and pupils. Pupils hoped to display their appreciations via their hard work. Only in this way, will their efforts be worthy of the martyrs who sacrificed their own lives to enable the modern life they all now lead.
Qingming Festival falls annually on April 4-6. It is a time for remembering loved ones who have passed away. People visit their ancestors' graves to sweep away the dirt.
