WREATH LAID TO MONUMENT OF MONGOLIAN AND SOVIET SOLDIERS
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A ceremony took place last week to lay a wreath to the Monument of Mongolian and Soviet soldiers in Zhangjiakou city of China.
Present at the ceremony were Ts.Sukhbaatar, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the People’s Republic of China (PRC); diplomats of our Embassy in China; Wu Fening, a Deputy Head of Zhangjiakou's Peoples Congress; Zhou Limin, a Deputy Mayor of Zhangjiakou citys.
Mr Sukhbaatar thanked the local authorities for caring for the Monument. The Mongolian and Soviet soldiers had been killed during the liberation war for China in 1945.
He emphasized that the Mongolia-China friendly relations have reached a strategic partnership level and are developing in all fields.
Ms Fening said China always will remember the merit of the Mongolian and Soviet soldiers who liberated northeastern territories of China 68 years ago.
The Soviet and Mongolian army Martyrs Monument was erected in 1957. It is located in Hebei city of Zhangjiakou Zhangbei County 15 kilometers south.
