Student sport and culture festival to be held in Uvs aimag
The 16th annual student sports and culture festival between local universities, institutes and colleges that provide qualifications will be organized at Khar Termes tourist camp on the bank of Khyargas lake in Uvs aimag between September 13th and 15th.
Organizers Uvs Province Governor`s Office, Mongolian Student Union and Labor Institute of Uvs aimag won the mandate of the festival a year ago and have been conducting the preparation works.
University and institute teams from seven provinces with 300 athletes will participate in the festival.
Participants who have submitted their applications for registration include the Arkhangai Aimag branch school of the Mongolian State University of Education, the Zavkhan Aimag branch school of the Mongolian National University, the Govi-Altai Aimag branch school of Health Sciences University, Uvs Aimag joint team of Uvs Labor Institute and Ulaangom college and the Khovd Aimag University, Dalai Van college in Khuvsgul aimag and the Bayan-Ulgii Aimag branch school of Khovd University.
The student athletes regional Universiad will host six sport categories; volleyball, woodball, chess, darts, national wrestling and table tennis.
The winner of the festival will be awarded the gold medal of the Mongolian Student Sport III Universiad, the Universiad Cup and a prize by organizers.
The student sport and culture festival between students from regional universities and institutes has been organized annually since 1997.
