Puzzle exhibition is the first of its kind in Mongolia
Freelance artist B.Bolortsetseg opened her exhibition at the Mongolian National Modern Art Gallery on September 4. The exhibition is different from other painting, sculpture, and engraving exhibitions. The creations in the exhibition are puzzles.
This type of exhibition has never been exhibited in a Mongolian art gallery before. One hundred creations fit into four genres, namely nature, the animal kingdom, children’s worlds, and landscape.
B.Bolortseteg’s profession is as a writer and journalist. She works and lives in Ireland. She became interested in puzzles five years ago. She said that creating puzzles requires a lot of time and labor. According to her friends advice she decided to exhibit her endeavors. Her ideal audience for her exhibition is high school students, because they have no place to spend their free time in a creative and intellectually challenging way.
The exhibition will continue for only four days. She will organize a competition amongst students who visit the exhibition this weekend and winners will be awarded prizes. She said, “Puzzles intensify children’s intelligence, and influence and nurture their character formation.”
Creations in the exhibition can be purchased from 15,000 to 190,000 MNT.
