VA Air launches flights to Hohhot in Inner Mongolia
EVA Air expanded its reach to Inner Mongolia last week, as it commenced services on the 2,000-kilometre route from Taipei Taoyuan (TPE) to Hohhot (HET) on 3 June. Thrice-weekly services are now offered between the two cities, making EVA Air the first Taiwanese airline to offer flights to Inner Mongolia. According to statistics from regional tourism authorities, 11,900 travelers from Inner Mongolia visited Taiwan in 2012 with the figure surpassing 7,200 in the first four months of 2013. A321s are used to operate the new service.
