New service allows bills to be paid via TV

The Khadgalamj Bank and Univision have announced that they have introduced new technology that will allow consumers to conduct banking transactions through their television (TV) sets, including paying their bills. The two organizations introduced the new service with the hope of making banking services simpler and more accessible for consumers. The services will be available every day, including weekends.

The Deputy Director in Charge of Business Development of Khadgalamj Bank, S.Bayankhangai, sat down with journalists to explain how this new service works.

-What other features does the new service offer, besides financial transactions?

-The most important thing to note is that customers sometimes have to delay or reschedule their payments because banks are not open on weekends. Now this issue can be resolved easily. Consumers will be able to access information about, for example, Khadgalamj Bank branches near them, the opening hours, and currency exchange rates.

-This service is special in that it uses television sets. How do customers apply for this service?

-I want to remind you that this service is only available to our customers who are also customers of Univision. Therefore, Khadgalamj Bank account holders would have to go to the nearest Univision branch and apply for the TV Banking service. When connected, this will automatically enable your television set to access the TV Bank service menu. If you don’t have an account with us, you can open an account with us and immediately conduct transactions using your bank account, card and telephone. For the TV Banking service, you would use your television remote control to insert your details. At the moment up to 30,000 customers can apply for this service.

-How much does this service cost?

-It is completely free of charge, there are no additional charges. It is the same as any other bank transaction. In other words, it costs the same amount as other transaction costs at the bank.
