NAADAM CELEBRATED IN SWEDEN
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ About 1,300 Mongolians in Sweden celebrated last weekend the "Stockholm 2012" Naadam festival in Akalla district, Stockholm.
The festival has been dedicated to the 806th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 91st anniversary of the People's Revolution, the 101st anniversary of the Movement of National Freedom.
During the festival, tournaments for national wrestling, ankle-bone shooting, tug-of-war, running were held. In the wrestling with 64 men, winners have become Ya.Tormokh and S.Orgilbold. A fashion show of the Mongolian deel (national clothes) has been organized as well. A group of artists, headed by a State Honored Artist R.Banzragch, gave a small concert to guests.
This year's festival has been co-organized by Mongolia's Embassy in Sweden, the National Union of Mongolians in Sweden, the Union of Mongolians in Sweden, and the MGL sports club.
