D.BATTULGA BECOMES HEAD OF CITIZEN'S REPS KHURAL OF CITY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A head of the Presidential Office D.Battulga has been elected the chairman of the UB Citizens' Representative Khural. It happened on Moday when the Khural was formed and its members got their rights.
He was nominated by the Democrats who, with their majority seats in the Khural, are eligible to do so. There would have been a rival from the The "Justice" coalition (the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and National Democratic Party) L.Shagdarragchaa, but he withdrew his candidature. Other parties and coalition did not nominate any for this post.
Battulga Dashjamts was born 1961 in Ulaanbaatar; he graduated from the city's #1 secondary school in 1979 and the Institute of Engineering-Economics of Russian Leningrad (former name) in 1984 majoring in energy economics, management and organization. He speaks Russian and English. In 1984, D.Battulga began his career in the #4 Thermal power station of the city as an economist, then worked in the Ministry of Fuels and Energy as expert, served as a member of the State Conference, a president of the Mongolian Democratic Union, a member of parliament, and a head of Presidential office.
