WATER PRICE FOR GER AREAS TO BE REDUCED
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cabinet meeting held on Wednesday discussed an issue on discounting the price of water consumed by ger area families.
Then, the cabinet issued a resolution based on the laws on water, on water supply of Ulaanbaatar city and settlements and on sewer, and the parliament resolution on approving the Millennium Development Challenge of Mongolia, with an aim to improve the water consumption and sanitation in ger areas.
In accordance with the resolution, orders were given to Ts.Dashdorj, the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Development; and D.Tsogtbaatar, the Minister of Environment and Tourism to work out a proposal on reducing the water price for ger areas' people and to submit it to the Regulatory Council of water supply of city and settlements and usage of sewers.
Thanks to approving the resolution, the price of water for families in ger areas will be reduced by 2.5 times.
