ABOUT PREPARATION FOR GREAT FESTIVAL
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Premier M.Enkhbold has called for the officials of the organizing committee for celebrating the National Naadam Festival to finish construction work of a 10.6 km autoroad by July 7.
The issue is raised seriously at the regular meeting of the organizing committee held on Wednesday after criticizing a weakness of construction work of the autoroad that connects the capital city with the horse-race arena. “The relevant people should finish the construction work in high quality. If they fail to finish the construction work in due time, tough responsibility will be imposed upon them on behalf of the government” he said.
In addition, the committee discussed an issue on altering the rule of Mongolian national wrestling, and then decided to consider at a cabinet meeting some appendix to be made to the rule. If the appendix is adopted, the national wrestling tournament of the Great Festival is available only for a person aged above 18 years old covered with the accident insurance.
The meeting also discussed a draft celebration program of the National Great Festival. According the program, the national sports events will start with the contest for the “Uriankhai” national archery on July 7.
In addition, car parking near the Central Stadium will be inceased by 4,500 stopping-places. About 650 fast-food spots will serve near the stadium and the horse-race arena as well.
