Huuuuuu-ayyy-rrrrrrrrrra

Over the years when an Italian supercar is born, it comes from the city of Modena, such as Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati. But lately, there has been a single man with a big ambition to show the big names that he knows better than them. Founded in 1992 by Horacio Pagani, he alone has show the world, no matter how big you think you are there’s always someone who can show you better.

He first gave the world the Pagani Zonda. And boy oh boy did that cause a scene. A no named brand that was wiping the floor with other supercars. Starting with the first model, the Zonda C12 and after a lot of tinkering, progressing to the Zonda R. Now there’s a new kid on the block. The one with the name no one can pronounce. Huayra. Which is the name for God of wind. And wind bending is what this car does.

There are four control flaps on each corner of the car that causes the opposite side to rise depending on direction of the turn. They are there to give the car a neutral feel and balance while playing with aerodynamics. And works with the ECU and ABS to calibrate the cars speed and determine how much the flaps flap about.

The Zonda was powered by a nuke. The Huayra is still powered by a nuke but it’s smaller, cleaner, leaner, much meaner and still a screamer. The 6.0L AMG V12 is especially made for the Huyara and brings with it two turbo’s, to spool power up to 700hp/522kw and 1000Nm of torque. Deliver to the road via robotyzed system seven speed gearbox. Thumping this monster from 0-100km/h in 3.2 secs and on to a top speed of 370 km/h. Although tests have show 354km/h achievement.

All in all the whole machine hopes on its wheels with a kerb weight of only 1350kg. Made from carbontitanium (because carbonfibre isn’t cool anymore) it’s no wonder. The four central exhausts in the middle of its arse remain a trade mark Pagani feature. However the gullwing don’t. So a new touch was to have the car structure reinforced to keep it rigged and the rear view mirrors shaped into the eye of a woman (Horacio Special request).

Going on sale soon with the infamous Million Dollar price tag, this God of wind won’t be bringing any calm before any storm.
