GEC APPROVES LIST OF PARTIES AND COALITIONS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the upcoming parliamentary election will participate 11 political parties and two coalitions.
At its meeting on Thursday, the General Election Committee (GEC) made a decision on the matter after inspecting documents sent by the each party and coalition.
A total of 13 subjects will compete in the parliamentary election for 76 seats: the Development Program Party, Party Implementing Freedom, Conservative United Party, Green Party, Democratic Party, Civil Will-Green Party, Mongolian People's Party, Mongolian Social Democratic Party, United Party of Patriots, Motherland Party and the Civil Movement Party; the "Justice" joint coalition (Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and National Democratic Party); and the "Third Force" joint coalition (Republican Party and the All-Mongolian Labor Party).
In accordance with the law, these parties and coalitions may start announcing their candidates 20 days after the announcing the date of the election. It means that the candidates will appear on June 19.
