OCA holds training project in Mongolia to foster youth reporters for Asian Games
ULAN BATOR, Feb. 29 — The Asian Games Youth Reporter Project co-organized by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), Mongolian National Olympic Committee as well as Incheon Asian Games Organising Committee was launched Tuesday in this capital of Mongolia.
The project is aiming to train youth reporters for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games in South Korea.
"You (the young trainees) have good possibility to become part of Mongolian Olympic Movement and Mongolian Olympic Delegation to cover the Olympic Games," said Secretary General of Mongolian National Olympic Committee J. Otgontsagaan.
In his opening remarks at the launching of the project, he said the young trainees would not only represent Mongolia but also Olympic Council of Asia to cover international sports events.
The content of the courses given by OCA includes Sportsphoto and Asian Games knowledge contests, and the winners of the knowledge contests will be authorized to cover the 17th Asian Games to be held in Incheon, South Korea in 2014.
According to the agenda of the project, the project would be launched in 10 Asian countries and regions and Mongolia is the first.
Over 50 teenagers from local schools with English writing talent or potential, who are interested in working in the sports media industry attended the project. (PNA/Xinhua) LAM/utb
