Gull-wing-less Beauty

In 1957, Mercedes Benz introduced to the world the 300SL Roadster. In the words of many men, this was the first sport car the world saw or had on it. A race car for the streets but without it's roof chopped if you will.Like the original, engineering was pretty much the same.

The chassis on this model was re-designed to accommodate regular doors and a bit of body work to make it settle into its own skin kindly.

Years later, no really, like a lot of years later we see the birth of the roadster version of the SLS AMG, featuring regular doors. So what you end up with is a supercar performance, sport car cruise-abilities, roadster perfection with looks to love, all rolled up into a dream car burrito.

The AMG engineers haven't held back on this beast, under the bonnet comes their famous 6.2L V8, cranking 563 horses and torque-ing 650 Nm. Acceleration takes you from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 secs and goes on to a top speed of more than 320 km/h if you have the road and testis to find out. While fuel burns away nicely at the front, at the back now you get a noise never heard by gods or your ears and even Earth likes having it tickle the roads on it.

All in all this is just a great convertible car.
