Capacity of Gashuunsukhait border crossing enhanced
A subsidiary of Energy Resource LLC, Gobiin Zam, has implemented a project to expand the capacity of the Gashuunsukhait border crossing.
The project began in June 2011, and the company has built eight new roads. Now the border point has 12 roads that accommodate 1,200 heavy vehicles daily.
The border point’s capacity enhancement aims to increase coal exports, reduce transportation costs for companies, and mitigate negative impacts on nature and the environment.
