NEA chief denies court ruled in favor of Khan Resources
Khan Resources LLC of Canada owns 58% of the Central Asian Uranium Co., which has worked in the Mardai uranium deposit in Dornod aimag, while Monatom LLC of Mongolia and ARMZ LLC of Russia own 21% each. The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) cancelled the licenses held by Khan Resources but courts have ruled in favor of the Canadian company. Our journalist asked the Chief of the NEA, S.Enkhbat, about the situation.
Is it true that the court has ruled the NEA was wrong to cancel the licenses?
This is not true and the court has not found the NEA action wrong.
Will the Central Asian Uranium special licenses now be transferred to the Dornod Uranium LLC?
These two companies are different and there will be no such transfer.
