Peabody Energy shows interest in Tavan Tolgoi
Deputy Minister N. Altankhuyag received the authorities of NY listed world’s largest private-sector coal company Peabody Energy today. During the meeting representatives of the company informed that they’re willing to take part in coal extraction operations of TT. They’ve inquired when the TT’s strategic investment tender will be announced and mentioned that the company is planning to present an attractive proposal to Mongolian side.
Mr. N. Altankhuyag in his turn stated “According to the SGK’s resolution number 39 domestic or international consortiums will be selected through open tender. We are interested in involving as many companies as possible and will announce tender in the near future.”
